Accounts Assistant

We are urgently looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant of our client based in Hull for a 3-6 month period. The candidate will be responsible for the day to day processing of the accounts in all areas including payroll administration. This is a full time role working 37 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • All aspects of purchase ledger using Sage, including processing bank payments to suppliers and online purchases.
  • Ensuring correct processes are following regarding purchase ordering systems.
  • General Credit Control, raising invoices and debt chasing.
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Preparation of weekly updates, including creditors and debtor's reports.
  • Following current Company processes and processing improvements if required.
  • Understanding of payroll and assist with the processing of the payroll.

Required Experience

  • At least 3 years experience within a similar role
  • AAT level 3 preferred but not essential.
  • Proven track record as an individual who is able to deliver effectively and on time.
  • Managing of multiple tasks simultaneously from start to finish.
  • A competent level of IT ability
  • Full working knowledge and experience of Sage

Structural Engineer

List is seeking a Structural Engineer for our client based in Aldershot. This is a contract role, with a duration until December 2017.

Key Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Structural Design Lead, the candidate will be responsible for the modelling of structures in 3D using MasterSeries and Eurocodes in order to produce detailed drawings ready for construction.

Key Tasks:

  • To provide full calculation book using building controls
  • To translate the modelling of 3D structures using Eurocodes and MasterSeries
  • Review of steelwork fabrication drawings and connection calculations

Skills and Experience:

  • Good knowledge of project lifecycle.
  • Experience working in the Construction industry will be an added advantage with Min 5-year experience in Building Structures design
  • Experience in steelwork detailing for construction
  • Experience in Masterseries and Staad softwares
  • Familiar with Eurocodes

Draughtsman (multi-disciplined)

We are urgently recruiting an experienced, multi-disciplined Draughtsman for our client in Dunbar.  This is a full time position working 37 hours per week and can be offered on a permanent or contract basis.  The Draughtsman will be capable of providing drawing/document updates (mainly using AutoCAD), creating mark-ups and checking and approving from red-lined 'As-Built' drawings using the relevant standards, processes and procedures.

The successful candidate will maintain a high level of organisation and attention to detail to enable the Managed Service and site Drawing Office to continue to deliver a quality service.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Update drawings / documentation to 'As-Built' drawings
  • Provide QA checking/approval of drawings / documentation produced by CAD Operators and other Draughtsmen
  • Locate associated drawings and review the impact the modifications may have, providing red-lined drawings for client technicians and engineers to work from
  • Provide technical guidance when necessary
  • Conduct site surveys when necessary
  • Manage own workload to ensure timely delivery to clients
  • Review client modification work packs received to ensure technical and construction information is correct
  • Adhere to company policies & procedures
  • Be part of the company Safety and Quality Culture
  • Ensure client satisfaction is maintained / exceeded

Essential requirements:

  • HNC qualification (or equivalent) or suitable experience
  • AutoCAD qualification or suitable experience.
  • Experience within a busy Drawing Office environment with the ability to cope with workload demands from both internal and external sources
  • Experience of using a variety of software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Experience of working with clients on telephone or via e-mail in a professional manner.
  • Excellent professional communication skills (written & oral)
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to learn new skills and adapt to changing workload demand
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy in all work undertaken whilst maintaining the ability to work to targets/deadlines
  • Be a flexible team player and be able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.

Desirable requirements:

  • Experience within the Nuclear / Power Generation sectors
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of industry best practices and work to established standards and current legislation.
  • Experience of using Electronic Document Management systems.
  • Positive attitude to change
