Maintenance Planner

We are currently recruiting a Maintenance Planner for our client in Hull.  This is an urgent requirement for an initial 12 month position, with the possibility of it being extended.  This will be working full time (37 hours per week) Monday to Friday.

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Preparation and production of data input work packs from project and repair work packs. Ready for input to SAP PM. Validate and ensure all relevant information and data is applied to new and replaced equipment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute assigned personal objectives with direct guidance and supervision

Adhere to and comply with relevant discipline specific OMS and client procedures in execution of work activities. Provide feedback for continuous improvement of aforementioned procedures, if applicable

Ensure self awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments

Clearly communicate any identified improvements to service execution to Technical Manager

Production of data input work packs by review of project and repair packs, identifying new / replacement / redundant equipment.

Populate SAP data upload templates by capture of changes to Functional Locations and Assets, hierarchal equipment asset structures and associated required technical details, in accordance with applicable procedures.

Determine correct maintenance requirements for functional locations from existing maintenance plans or identify if new ones are required.

Review performance standards and maintenance plans to ensure sufficient coverage for new / replacement equipment.

Additional tasks as may be required by the client

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications:

BSc, B.Eng, HNC, HND or equivalent in applicable maintenance discipline

Or

NVQ or equivalent trade based qualification with suitable experience in maintenance

Minimum Experience:

Demonstrable balance of industrial experience at relevant level and position

SAP experience (minimum of five years)

Professional demeanor with appropriate interpersonal skills

Good team working skills

Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn

Document Controller

We are looking to recruit a Document Controller for a Company based in Hessle.   This is a full time position for 6 months

The Document Controller will primarily support the Technical and Engineering Function by providing business support for the OMS systems, Viewport and liaising with 3rd party document control.

Responsibilities

  • Offer support and guidance to users and deliver training on document review process and system accessibility
  • Administer the document control system for the OMS. Manage documents moving onto the OMS ensuring correct formatting as per the management system expectations, providing assistance to users as required. Ensure the review periods on OMS documentation are adhered to resulting in no documents passing their stated review dates.
  • Ensure documents are uploaded onto the EDMS and then 'Viewport' correctly and manage the process.
  • Own key performance indicators (KPI's) to track the document review proces.
  • Seek to continuously improve the OMS in line with user feedback
  • Drive value from 3rd parties who provide a service for document management
  • Lead reviews and provide visibility of document backlog to Operations Management Risk Committee (OMRC) and wider operations teams.
  • Collaborates closely with all other departments to ensure that OMS processes are managed in line with business needs.
  • Maintains close working relationships with external suppliers of the EDMS and Viewport.
  • High performance team working across the asset operations and support teams, influences document authors and reviewers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Operational teams and OMS key users

Skills/Qualifications

  • Possesses a good knowledge of maintaining SharePoint TeamSites utilising out-of-the-box functionality
  • Has practical experience of using SharePoint the manage document libraries
  • Is a skilled user of Microsoft Office - especially word and Excel - with an in-depth knowledge of applying formulas
  • Takes personal pride in delivering high quality products and solutions and has a strong attention to detail and customer needs
  • Frequently takes the initiative to recognise where business document process improvements can be made and demonstrates how to turn technical ideas into real and practical solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Maintains close working relationships with internal and external service providers in order to maintain and improve IS and document support as required to improve efficiency
  • Uses experiences and own initiative to problem solve and provide appropriate project and technical support
  • Uses knowledge of SharePoint to support and teach document owners and end users
  • Draws on own knowledge and past experiences to address issues and opportunities
  • Recognises where business process improvements can be made and liaises with the most appropriate persons in order to actively improve operational efficiency and performance
  • Broad experience and access to external companies enables the development of benchmarks which can be used to challenge established standards and set new levels of performance

Structural Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a Structural Design Engineer for our client in Scunthorpe. This is a full time position for an initial 6 month period, to be reviewed thereafter.

The Structural Design Engineer will be working within a Technical Engineering Design Services department providing specialist advice in structural engineering to the Plant Engineer and across the clients' site. You will be required to investigate plant based structural issues and prepare, detailed designs, specifications, drawings and contract documents to provide the appropriate solutions.

The design engineer will ensure that business standards regarding safety, technical performance, quality, finance and programme are maintained.

Activities

  • Site measuring/surveys
  • Production of 2D CAD drawings using AutoCAD or Microstation software.
  • Production of 3D CAD drawings using Solidworks software.
  • Must be capable of producing layout and detail fabrication structural drawings, including identifying materials and assembly procedures.
  • Structural engineering calculations – not essential

Competencies

  • HNC/HND in structural engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years structural engineering experience, preferable in a heavy engineering environment.
  • Must be competent in the use of AutoCAD, Solidworks and computer design software.
  • Experience in the use of STAAD and CSC Tedds software and experience in providing engineering design structural calculations would be advantageous.
